Agents and signals
An agent is one ICP plus a set of signals, a minimum score, a mode (review or auto) and destinations. Each workspace can run up to 15 agents (fair use, see billing).
Signal types
| Signal | Where it comes from | Settings |
|---|---|---|
| Funding rounds | Inc42, Entrackr, YourStory and TechCrunch RSS; SEC Form D filings (US); GDELT global news | Minimum round size |
| Hiring | Public job boards on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, for companies on the agent's watchlist; TheirStack job postings with a key | Job-title words, e.g. sales development, RevOps |
| New leaders | News of appointments ("appoints", "joins as"), people from your imports, and People Data Labs job changes (people starting a persona role) with a key | – |
| Tech-stack changes | A check of each watched company's public homepage (robots.txt respected) | Tools to watch, e.g. HubSpot |
| Website visitors | Your ReadyBuyerFinder pixel: companies by IP, people only after they identify themselves | Hot pages, e.g. /pricing |
| Keyword mentions | News feeds, GDELT, Hacker News; X and Reddit with a key | Keywords and competitor names |
| Company news | Expansion, new offices, launches, partnerships, acquisitions | – |
| Post engagement | A CSV you upload, events from ReachDak, or pages you save with the Chrome extension | – |
| New Indian companies (MCA) | The MCA company master on data.gov.in (Open Government Data licence). Needs a free data.gov.in key | Keywords narrow it by business activity; skipped if regions exclude India |
| Custom signal | Any news item that matches your plain-English description, judged by the AI | The description |
Signals are scored as described in How scoring works; weights can improve over time through the learning loop.
Sources marked "with a key" switch on when you save your own key under Settings, or when a platform key is set. See Data keys.
The watchlist
Hiring and tech-stack checks need a list of companies. Every company an agent finds through another signal is added to its watchlist automatically, up to 200. You can also paste target accounts on the agent page or import them from a CSV.
The noise filter
Before a signal becomes a lead, the AI reads it together with your ICP. It decides whether the signal is a real buying moment, which company it is about (not the investor or the publisher) and who is named. The Signals page shows every decision with a one-line reason, including the signals it dropped.
Schedule
Agents run every 6 hours by default; you can change this per agent. Scheduled runs pause between 02:00 and 06:00 IST to protect a shared AI server, but "Run now" still works.
Switching from a competitor
Turn on Switching from a competitor to catch public posts where someone asks for an alternative to a rival, says they are leaving it, or that it is shutting down. We watch the competitors in your ICP plus any names in Watch for people leaving these rivals on the agent. Hacker News is searched for free; X and Reddit join in when you add your own keys. Every hit goes through the AI noise filter and links to the post.
The first run and near misses
A new agent's first run looks back 30 days on free public sources (later runs pick up from the last run). If only a few leads qualify, Leads → To review shows Near misses: companies with a buying signal that scored just under your minimum, each with the one rule that kept it out (for example "Size 1,200 is above your max of 500") and a button to loosen that rule. Loosening re-scores the agent's leads straight away at no cost; leads that now qualify get a first message and the usual alert.
