Buying signals

B2B buying signals, explained

ReadyBuyerFinder is free; you pay third-party costs at cost. A buying signal is a public event that suggests a company may need what you sell soon: it raised money, it is hiring for a role, it has a new leader, it changed its tools, or it visited your pricing page. Here is every signal ReadyBuyerFinder tracks, where each one comes from and how many points it adds to a lead's score.

How signals become a score

  • Every lead scores fit (0 to 60: who they are) plus intent (0 to 40: why now).
  • Each signal adds its points to intent. A signal loses half its points every 14 days.
  • The strongest signal of each type counts fully; each repeat of the same type adds a quarter of its points. Intent is capped at 40.
  • Every weight and the half-life can be changed on your ICP, and the lead page lists every point with its reason.

How scoring works

The noise filter

Before a signal becomes a lead, the AI reads it with your ICP and decides whether it is a real buying moment, which company it is about (not the investor or the publisher) and who is named. The Signals page in the app shows every decision with a one-line reason, including the signals it dropped.
